“Besides always being cheerful, Jenn has been great to work with. The first week we started, my swimming ability would only allow me to go 25 meters, where I became disoriented and gasping for a breath when I was done. Several weeks later of fine tuning my technique we are working on long distance swims of 500 meters or more and speed drills. She will let you know if you are not giving it your all or doing something out of the ordinary. I always come out of every session feeling revived with spirit due to her great coaching. Though Jenn has been a huge asset in helping me learn how to swim, she also has revamped my nutritional habits. Since I talked to Jenn about my eating habits and followed her advice I’ve had more energy, enjoyed new foods I’ve never tried before, and I was able to shed another six pounds which I didn’t know I had to lose. Jenn has been a life saver on my quest to become an Ironman this year. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an endurance coach, nutritional evaluation, or positive attitude lessons!” – Drew Kahns; IronMan Coeur D’Alene 2013, Finish: 12:11

“I truly want to thank you Jennifer for assisting him in changing his mind, body, and soul in such a positive way. You have changed the course of his life for the better. A proud father.” – Steve Kahns (father of Drew Kahns, 2013 CD’A IM Athlete)

“I have had the privelage of working with Jenny Van Cott in order to prepare for my first triathalon. She gave me the confidence to start swimming in a lap pool and motivation to stick to my detailed weekly workout plans as I knew she would hold me accountable to them. I would highly recommend JVC to anyone as Jenny works with you personally and her detailed workout plans will give you the confidence to do a race you may have not thought was possible :).” – Erica Schwab; 2013 Life Time Sprint Tri, Tempe, AZScreen shot 2013-10-17 at 12.54.32 PM

“Over the past couple months I had the opportunity to work with an amazing coach and person, Jennifer Van Cott. She not only helped me achieve a 40 minute PR on my marathon time, but also was such a great support system and genuinely cared about my success. I highly recommend JVC Wellness Consulting & Coaching to anyone that is interested in running a half or full marathon, competing in a triathlon, or just is curious about health and fitness! Thanks a lot Jenn!” – Courtney Hardin; 2013 Portland MarathonScreen shot 2013-10-17 at 12.56.12 PM______________________________________________________________________________

“Jenny became my swim coach shortly after my 54th birthday (a gift to myself).  She’s great! She was able to quickly assess my swim, and clearly coach me through the many improvements I needed in my technique. Every change she has suggested has improved my speed and my efficiency as a swimmer. Not only is Jenny knowledgeable, but she is also delightfully positive and encouraging. She has what I have always considered the best asset of a good teacher (or coach, or parent, or counselor): she is committed to figuring out how each student best learns.  When I don’t understand what she is trying to tell me, she sticks with it until she comes up with a way of saying it that my brain understands!”  – Kathryn Harris; 2014 Troika Triathlon, Spokane, WA

Working with Jen has been a true delight. She not only taught me the importance of proper nutrition for endurance athletes, but more importantly, she re-inspired my love for the sport. She offers a plethora knowledge including proper technique, training plans, nutrition, and inspiration. I am so fortunate to have by my side working towards Ironman, and am looking forward to my new challenges and successes in the future. Thanks, Jen – You’re amazing 🙂 – Aileen Laughlin 2014 IronMan CD’A, Finish: 15:00Screen Shot 2014-07-01 at 9.52.11 AM
